The walk is noted in the terms to read when booking this spot, however the sell at the top of Solscapes page says it’s 5 minutes and is a nice nature walk. Not to mention the ‘5 minute’ bush walk, which is dangerously unlit at night, with tree roots to trip over. We stayed in the bush belle tent, the linen on the very uncomfortable bed was clean, but overall the tent and facilities it were filthy.stains all over the carpet, mould on the tent that had rips for mosquitos to enter in and bite us all night. In my opinion, Solscape would come under the wide umbrella of ‘Eco lodge’ due to its compost toilets, the small amount of permaculture and herb gardens scattered on the premises, and the solar (also battery. The staff seemed trained in the up-sell of Solscapes over priced cafe, surf lessons and yoga classes, but were not well versed in customer service. The toilets were compostible and clean enough, but had a pretty rank odour. The showers had hardly any pressure and were dirty and simple. You also need to carry luggage and necessities with you, you cannot take a vehicle up there (even if 4 wheel drive, it is “frowned upon” - quoting one unhelpful staff member). ![]() ![]()
